Cornus amomum or Silky Dogwood is a deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub with 2" diameter, white, flat-topped flowers appearing in May-June. The slender young stems are reddish purple. A good shrub for moist to wet sites. Also good for soil stabilization on steep slopes and makes a good mass planting.
